Hadestown set for first ever UK and Ireland tour in 2027

​ Photo Credit: Marc Brenner Hadestown, which is currently playing its third year in London’s West End, has announced the first ever UK and Ireland tour, opening in  Leicester February 2027.  Blending American songwriting traditions, from indie folk, to pop, blues, and New Orleans-inspired jazz, the musical features music, lyrics, and book by acclaimed Tony and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award-winner Anaïs Mitchell who originated Hadestown as an indie theatre project and acclaimed album, before transforming the show into a genre-defying new musical alongside artistic collaborator and Tony Award-winning director Rachel Chavkin. REVIEW: War Horse - National Theatre

​ War Horse, which first premiered at the National Theatre in 2007, and has since been seen in over 100 cities in 15 countries, has now made its way back home to the Olivier stage.  Adapted by Nick Stafford, based on the much loved novel by Michael Morpurgo, it will come as no surprise that all these years later, the production remains a theatrical masterpiece.  At the outbreak of the First World War, the show follows the story of young Albert’s beloved horse Joey, who is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France. Too young to enlist, Albert refuses to forget him, embarking on an extraordinary journey from the fields of rural Devon to the trenches of wartime France – determined to bring Joey home.  Directed by Tom Morris, with revival director Katie Henry, the production, which is well known for its extensive use of puppetry, has an array of puppets, including vultures, horses, swifts and oh, an outspoken goose. Six announces new queens for UK and China 2026 tour

​ Cast photo credit: Josh Bird Six, written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, has announced a new cast for its 2026 UK and China tour.  The new company will take over performances from Wednesday 15 July at Churchill Theatre in Bromley, before touring the UK until September 2026. The production will then visit China, which will embark on a 12-week tour until 20 December.  The new company set to take over are Madison Swan as Catherine of Aragon, Izi Maxwell as Anne Boleyn, Laura Dawkes as Jane Seymour, Hannah Victoria as Anna of Cleves, Lizzie Emery as Katherine Howard and Eloise Lord as Catherine Parr. Lorren Santo-Quinn, Rosie Singha and Erin Summerhayes will join the company as alternates, alongside Selen Berry and Darcy Stewart who will serve as super swings.  The new company will appear at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley, Wycombe Swan, The Lowry in Salford Quays, the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells, the Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield and the Festival Theatre in Edin...
