Wicked 20th Anniversary West End Cast Announced

Casting has been announced for the 20th anniversary cast of Wicked at West End’s Apollo Victoria Theatre. 

The production in its anniversary year will continue to be led by Emma Kingston, alongside Zizi Strallen as Elphaba. They will be joined by Jordan Litz, who will be arriving from the United States to make his West End debut as Fiyero. Litz has previously taken on the role for both the US tour and Broadway. 

Joining the principle cast from 19 May 2026 is Olivier Award nominee Claire Machin, with Yara Fabricante who will make her West End debut as Nessarose. Continuing in their roles are Michael Matus as The Wizard, David McKechnie as Doctor Dillamond and Ross Carpenter as Boq. Alternate Elphaba will be Laura Emmitt with Lydia Gerrard as Standby Glinda. 

The company is completed by Leo Abad, Iroy Abesamis, Elizabeth Armstrong, Steph Asamoah, Meg Astin, Rebecca Bowden, Shaun Chambers, Erin Gisele Chapman, Lauren Chia, Charles Croysdill, Oraine Frater, Emily Goodenough, Katy Hanna, Nat Ingram, Samuel John-Humphreys, Holly Lawrence, Jemima Loddy, Ellie Ann Lowe, Jamel Matthias, Marcus May, Conor O’Hara, Tom Oliver, Abbie Quinnen, Harry Robinson, Jeanie Ryan, Jessica Saisang-Rowe, Jonah Sercombe, Chris Tarsey, Hannah Taylor and Hannah Wilkinson. 

The new company will begin performances on Tuesday 19 May, with the current 2025/26 company’s final performance on Sunday 17 May 2026.

Jason Donovan to join High School Musical

​ Photo Credit: Photos provided by production.  Hope Mill Theatre and Chris Harper Productions with Lowry have today announced Jason Donovan will star in Disney’s High School Musical as Coach Bolton. He will join previously announced Tobias Turley, Leonor Correia, Caitlin Tipping and Luke Bayer.  Celebrating 20 years since the iconic movie’s release, Lowry, Salford will open the first UK non-replica production on 22 August 2026 which will now run until the extended date Saturday 19 September.  On joining the production, Jason said  “High school musical was such a massive part of my kids early childhood. As a parent and as a musical fan the film was family entertainment at its best. Magical! Loved it. Popular culture has a cycle and I’m delighted to be joining this new reimagined High School Musical theatrical experience 20 years on from when I first discovered the film.
