Full casting announced for UK tour revival of 9 to 5 Musical

Full casting has been revealed for the UK tour revival of 9 to 5 the Musical. 

Based on the 1980 film of the same name, 9 to 5 the Musical features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and tells the story of three office workers who decide to take revenge on their overbearing boss.

The cast includes Kayla Carter as Judy, Karla Tracey as Doralee, Jade Marvin as Violet, Tim Rogers as Hart, and Jessica Martin as Roz. They are joined by Sammy Graham, Ceris Hine, Bradley Judge, Benjamin Karran, Colin Kiyani, Alicia Mencía, Rodney Vubya and Jemima-Jane Willcox, with ensemble members Jamie Chidzey, Beth Woodcock and Ashley St John, who also serves as dance captain.

Directed by Paul Jepson, the production will mark Landmark Theatre’s first in-house UK tour. The creative team features set and costume design by Amanda Stoodley, musical supervision by Mark Crossland, lighting design by Andy Purves, sound design by Chris Whybrow, and assistant direction by Sonny Nwachukwu. 

9 to 5 is set to open at New Theatre Peterborough from 4 - 11 July 2026 and will then visit Queen’s Theatre, Barnstable (14 - 18 July), Grand Theatre, Blackpool (21 - 25 July), Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford (28 July - 1 August), Darlington Hippodrome (4 - 8 August), Bridlington Spa (11 - 15 August), Ipswich Regent Theatre (18 - 22 August), Pavilion Theatre, Worthing (25 - 29 August), The Belgrade Theatre, Coventry (1 - 5 September) and White Rock Theatre, Hastings (8 - 13 September).

Jason Donovan to join High School Musical

​ Photo Credit: Photos provided by production.  Hope Mill Theatre and Chris Harper Productions with Lowry have today announced Jason Donovan will star in Disney’s High School Musical as Coach Bolton. He will join previously announced Tobias Turley, Leonor Correia, Caitlin Tipping and Luke Bayer.  Celebrating 20 years since the iconic movie’s release, Lowry, Salford will open the first UK non-replica production on 22 August 2026 which will now run until the extended date Saturday 19 September.  On joining the production, Jason said  “High school musical was such a massive part of my kids early childhood. As a parent and as a musical fan the film was family entertainment at its best. Magical! Loved it.
